Tab Rolland Larson was born on August 22, 1960 in Osceola, Nebraska to Irving A. and Marilyn J. (nee Dahlin) Larson. He passed from this life on June 5, 2024 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 63 years.

Tab graduated from Stromsburg High School with the class of 1978. One of his proudest moments during high school was when the student body of SHS elected Tab as Homecoming King in the fall of 1977.

Tab played football at SHS and his tenacity and vigorous off-season workout program enabled him to play as an undersized tackle who held his own against bigger and more talented players.

Tab enjoyed lifting weights and body building with his friend Jerry Werth of Stromsburg.

After high school, Tab settled into honorable work as a farmer southeast of Stromsburg with his father and uncle, Leo W. Larson. They farmed together until Tab’s father’s passing in December of 1985. Tab continued farming with his uncle until his passing in January of 2003. Tab eventually leased his farmland and settled into retired life. He spent the last few years of his life in the Park Villa apartments at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Tab was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kari Lyn Larson. He is survived by his brother Jan Larson and sister-in-law Connie Holmes Larson and a number of first cousins.

Tab wished to be cremated with his remains interred in the family plot at the Stromsburg cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Midwest Covenant Home (PO Box 367, Stromsburg, NE 68666).
