All-Star Basketball at Centennial Features 5 Locals

UTICA - Twenty-one players from twenty schools played in the Centennial girls’ all star game on Friday night. One of those was Emma Recker from Osceola. She was on the red team.

Sertoma 8-Man All Star Game Features 4 Local Players

HASTINGS - Four seniors were selected to play in the Sertoma 8-man all star football game held Saturday evening in Hastings.

The summer Polk County Slammers won districts by winning four games over the weekend and qualify for state! They won Class C District 5 for 18 and under. Currently they are 12-3 and play at Twin River on Tuesday the 18th, followed by a home game on Wednesday the 19th. State will be in Hastings at the softball complex on July 5-7. Photo provided.

Addie Theis and Ella Lemburg of Osceola track were selected to compete at Nebraska Wesleyan’s Midwest Night of Stars. This is a qualifying meet where the best from ALL classes compete on the same night in Lincoln. Theis participated in triple jump and 100 hurdles with Lemburg in the 400-meter run. OSCEOLA - The CRC (Crossroads Conference) vs. Goldenrod all-star basketball games will be Friday, May 24th in Osceola.

The girls will tip off first, followed by the boys.

OSCEOLA – Eleven teams competed in Osceola at D-2 districts Wednesday. Individually top two spots are guaranteed to go to state, and one relay.
